Event Signage

Weddings are most of what we make, but the same workshop makes signage for anything with guests walking through a door. Corporate functions, birthdays, engagements, baby showers, award nights and launches all need the same things: people need to know where to go, where to sit and whose event they are at.

Everything is designed and cut to order in Adelaide. Nothing is pulled off a template.

Events we make signage for

• Corporate functions and conferences. Registration and directional signage, sponsor boards, award night seating and branded backdrops.
• Engagements. Welcome signs, seating charts and table numbers, usually in the same formats as our wedding work.
• Milestone birthdays. Named entrance signage, number pieces and dessert table signs.
• Baby showers and christenings. Welcome signage, name pieces and keepsakes that outlive the day.
• Launches and openings. Branded entrance pieces, logo cutouts and photo walls.
• Religious and cultural celebrations. Including Ramadan and Eid decor, which we make a good deal of.

Small pieces

Not every event needs a two metre sign. A lot of what we make is small: table numbers, place names, directional arrows, drinks lists, gift table signs and name tags. These are quick to produce and easy to ship anywhere in Australia because they pack flat.

Small pieces are also where a bit of laser detail goes furthest. Cut names, engraved logos and layered lettering cost very little at that scale and make a table look considered rather than assembled.

Large format and backdrops

At the other end, we build pieces up to 2.1 by 2.1 metres. Backdrops, oversized entrance signage, photo walls and anything meant to be seen from across a room.

A sheet of 3mm acrylic cannot hold itself at that size, so large pieces are built on a timber or MDF backing with the acrylic face laminated to it. Where the finish suits it we also work in MDF that comes pre-laminated in melamine. Our laser cut lettering and logo pieces are applied and finished by hand afterwards, which keeps the detail sharp at a scale no desktop laser could cut in one pass.

Curves and shaped profiles are not a problem at large sizes. Where a piece needs an arch, a curve or any outline bigger than the laser bed, we cut the shape with a router and other tooling, then finish the edge by hand. Large shaped signage is entirely achievable, it is just built a different way to a small piece.

Large format is Adelaide-based by default, simply because of how the pieces travel. Interstate is possible by courier arrangement depending on size and venue access.

Branded and business signage

We cut logos, lettering and shopfront pieces in acrylic, timber and MDF. Layered logo signage in particular works well for reception walls and office interiors, since the raised lettering reads properly under downlights instead of flattening out the way a printed panel does.

Send us your logo as an SVG, AI or DXF and we will tell you what is cuttable before you commit to anything. Fine detail and very thin strokes are the usual limitation, and it is better to know that at the quoting stage.

• Acrylic in gloss and matte, over 20 colours, 3mm standard and 6mm where more rigidity is needed

• Timber and MDF, including melamine-laminated MDF for large panels

Turnaround

Standard pieces run one to two weeks from order. Large custom commissions can take a month or more because of the design and hand finishing involved. If your event has a fixed date, tell us the date first and we will be straight with you about whether it is achievable. A rush option is available when we have the capacity.

How it works

1. Tell us about the event. The date, the venue, the pieces you need and any branding you have to work within.
2. We design and mock it up. You approve a visual before anything is cut, with a couple of rounds of revisions included.
3. We cut and finish by hand.
4. Delivery, pickup or installation. Venue setup available across Adelaide, which we recommend for anything large format.

Can you match our brand colours?

We hold over 20 acrylic colours and can source others. Exact brand matching depends on what is available in acrylic, so send us the colour reference and we will tell you honestly how close we can get.

Do you deliver interstate?

Standard pieces ship Australia-wide. Oversized pieces are Adelaide-based by default but can travel by courier arrangement.

Can you install at the venue?

Yes, across Adelaide. Worth doing for backdrops and anything multi-panel.
