Wedding Seating Charts
A seating chart is the first thing your guests read and the last thing they forget. It sets the tone of the room before a single speech is made, so it is worth more than a printed page propped on an easel.
Every seating chart we make is designed from scratch for your wedding or event. No templates and no stock layouts. You tell us the guest list and the feeling you are after, and we design it, mock it up, then hand-finish the piece before it ever reaches the laser.

Seating chart formats we make
Single panel
One continuous panel holding every table and every name. It is the most formal of the formats and the easiest to read at a glance. It suits weddings up to around 150 guests, past which the type starts getting small.
Individual tiles
One tile per table, arranged on a wall, arbour, mesh frame or easel. Tiles give you flexibility a single panel cannot. A late table change means remaking one tile instead of the whole sign, and they let you fill a large wall without one enormous panel.
Layered acrylic

Our signature finish. Table names and headings are cut as separate acrylic lettering and bonded on top of the backing panel, so the text sits physically raised off the surface. In venue lighting it throws a soft shadow that flat printing and vinyl cannot reproduce. It is the difference guests notice without knowing why.
Mirror and vinyl
Gold or silver mirror acrylic with precision-cut vinyl lettering applied by hand. It reads warmer and more reflective than a painted finish, and it works particularly well under candlelight or against greenery.
Materials and finishes
We cut on a CO₂ laser in 3mm acrylic as standard, with 6mm available where you want more weight and presence. Finishes include:
- Gloss colours, over 20 shades including black, white, cream, beige, burgundy, olive, mint, dusty blue and terracotta
- Matte colours in the same palette, softer and non-reflective, which photographs beautifully
- Mirror in gold and silver
- Frosted and clear, for the floating text look where the panel almost disappears and only the lettering reads
- Timber and MDF, for rustic, barn and outdoor settings
If you have a colour in mind that we do not hold, we source it. Very few requests have ever fallen outside what we can get.
What size seating chart do I need?
The honest answer is that it depends on your design and how the names are laid out, but the guide below is a reasonable starting point. A1 is our smallest seating chart size.
| Guest count | Size |
|---|---|
| Up to 120 | A1, 841 × 594mm |
| Up to 250 | A0, 1189 × 841mm |
| 250 and above | Large format or individual tiles |
Guest names want to be around 12mm tall or more so they can be read from about a metre back. If your list will not sit comfortably at the size you have asked for, we will tell you and show you the alternative in the mockup.
How to lay out the names
There are two ways to do it, and the right one depends on the size of your wedding.
Alphabetical by last name is how we set up most charts. A guest finds their surname, reads across to their table number, and moves on. For anything past a handful of tables this is the layout that keeps the entrance moving.
Grouped by table lists each table with its guests underneath. It looks lovely and it works well when you only have four or five tables, because a guest can scan the whole board in seconds. We do not recommend it for large weddings. Once there are fifteen tables on the board, a guest has to read every single one of them to find their own name, and that is how a queue forms at the door.
Large-format seating charts
We build well beyond standard sheet sizes and have produced signage up to 2.1 by 2.1 metres. At that scale the panel is not a single sheet of acrylic. Three millimetre acrylic on its own is far too flimsy to hold that size, so large pieces are built on a timber or MDF backing with the acrylic face laminated to it. That gives you a panel rigid enough to stand up all night while still carrying a true acrylic finish. Where the styling suits it, we also work in MDF that comes pre-laminated in melamine, which gives a clean finish without the acrylic layer.
Our laser-cut lettering is then applied and finished by hand, which is how the detail stays crisp at a size no desktop laser could cut in one pass.
Shape is not a limitation at that size either. If your chart needs an arch or a curved profile larger than the laser bed, we cut the outline with a router and other tooling and finish the edge by hand. A two metre arched seating chart is entirely possible.
Pieces this large are Adelaide-based by default, simply because of how they travel. If you are outside Adelaide and want something oversized, talk to us. It usually comes down to courier cost and access at the venue.
How it works
- Tell us about the day. Guest count, venue, styling, and anything you have already locked in such as colours or fonts. If you do not know what you want yet, that is normal. We design from scratch and walk you through it.
- We design and mock it up. You see a visual of the finished piece before anything is cut, with a couple of rounds of revisions. Nothing touches the laser until you have approved it.
- Send the final names. We set them out last name first unless you have asked for a grouped layout.
- We cut, layer and finish by hand. Lettering is cut, weeded, aligned and bonded individually.
- Delivery, pickup or installation. Australia-wide shipping on standard sizes, with local delivery and venue setup available across Adelaide.
Supplying your own design
If you are working with a stylist or designer, or you have had artwork made already, we are happy to cut from supplied files. We accept SVG, AI and DXF. Send it through before you commit and we will check it is cuttable. Line weights, open paths, fine detail and island text are the usual problems, and we would rather flag them early than after you have paid a designer.
Delivery, pickup and installation
- Australia-wide shipping on standard-size seating charts
- Adelaide local delivery available for an additional cost
- Venue setup and installation available across Adelaide, which we recommend for large-format and multi-tile displays
- Oversized pieces are Adelaide-based by default, with interstate possible by courier arrangement
Frequently asked questions
Do you make seating charts for events other than weddings?
Yes. Engagements, corporate dinners, galas, milestone birthdays and award nights all use the same formats. The design language changes but the build does not.
Can I match my invitations?
Yes. Send us your invitation suite and we will match the typeface and palette across your welcome sign, seating chart, table numbers and anything else you order, so the whole day reads as one set.
Do you also make welcome signs and table numbers?
We do. Our personalised 3D welcome signs start at $85 for A3, $140 for A2 and $180 for A1. Our 3D table numbers are $13.99 each and come with a detachable acrylic stand. Ordering as a set keeps the fonts and finishes consistent across the room.
What if a table changes at the last minute?
It happens at almost every wedding. Individual tiles are the safest format for a guest list still in motion, because one tile can be remade without touching the rest of the display.
Can you do non-rectangular shapes?
Yes. Arches, circles, scallops and custom silhouettes are all cuttable.
How much does a seating chart cost?
It depends on the size, the format and how much design work is involved, so we quote each one. Send us your guest count and what you have in mind and we will come back with a price and a design.
